چکیده

The research at Mendoke Mountains, Southeast Sulawesi Province, particularly for the study of gold deposits, becomes a new challenge because there is no previous detailed study. This aims to analyze characteristics orogenic which include type and texture quartz veins, alteration hydrothermal mineralization with hosted metamorphic rocks. methods used fieldwork laboratory analysis. veins were identified based on field observations. was analyzed using X-ray diffraction analysis, by ore microscopy. results showed that are three types parallel crosscut direction foliation, laminated veins. veins’ deformed, segmented, brittle, sheared, laminated, sheeted, irregular brecciated, massive sigmoidal. consists sericitization, argillic, propylitic carbonization alterations. native gold, chalcopyrite, pyrite, stibnite, covellite, cinnabar, galena, arsenopyrite, chrysocolla, magnetite, hematite goethite. host rock in area classified into greenschist facies. Based these characteristics, it shows deposits Mountains deposits.

Hydrothermal Gold Mineralization and Some Features of Ore Mineral at Onzon-Kanbani Area, Central Myanmar

Onzon-Kanbani area is a western flank of Mogok Metamorphic Belt where gold mineralization is hosted as auriferous quartz-vein with epithermal low-sulphidation characters. Mineralization is closely associated with NE-SW trending fracture or shear zone probably related to the dextral movement of the Sagaing Fault system. Mineralization related hydrothermal alteration is developed as narrow zones ...

Geology and Hydrothermal Alteration of the Mercur Gold Deposit, Utah

The term "Carlin-type" deposit has been applied to a number of low-grade, sedimentary rock-hosted gold deposits that have been discovered and brought into production in the western United States since the 1960s. Carlin-type deposits are characterized by replacement of carbonate and silty carbonate rocks by silica, pyrite, barite, various arsenic, mercury, antimony, and thallium minerals and by ...

Investigation of mineralogy and geothermometry of quartz and tourmaline veins at the Baghu area, southeast of Damghan

The Baghuo gold mine (Kuhzar) is located about 100 km S-SE of Damghan. The area is part of Torud- Chahshirin volcano- plutonic belt. The hosts of quartz – tourmaline veins are mainly granite, granodiorite and volcanic rocks such as andesite and dacite.  Mineralization occurs as a copper- gold bearing silica vein. Quartz, pyrite, chalcopyrite, gold, hematite, malachite, azurite, covellite and Fe...
